Seven Things Your Cleaner Wishes You Knew
We asked our team what they'd tell every client if politeness allowed. The answers were thoughtful, occasionally funny, and unanimous on the first one.
1. Tidying first doubles what we can do. Unanimous, this one. Every minute spent moving toys and paperwork is a minute not spent cleaning. A ten-minute pre-clear buys you a noticeably better clean at the same price.
2. Tell us what bothers you most. Everyone has a thing: the hob, the shower glass, the skirting. Say it once and it becomes the first priority of every visit, forever.
3. The first clean is always the slowest. Homes have a baseline, and resetting it takes one heavy visit. Judge us on the third clean, not the first.
4. Feedback within a day beats silence for a month. 'The mirror had streaks Tuesday' is fixable Tuesday. Saved up for a quarter, it just becomes awkward, for you and us.
5. We notice the kettle. Nobody expects tea. Everybody remembers it.
6. Products you love, we'll use. Attached to a particular floor soap? Leave it out with a note. Your house, your rules. Our default kit is for clients who'd rather not think about it.
7. If something gets broken, you'll hear it from us first. Accidents are rare, but our rule is photograph, report, and put it right the same day. Trust is the entire product, which is why every team member is DBS-checked and reference-checked before they hold a key.
